After MD in 2004, Dr. Rout worked in Batra Hospital, New Delhi and ESIC Hospital, Basai Darapur, New Delhi. She joined Medical College Raipur as Assitant Professor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She established Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department in Kailash Hospital, Haridwar. She established Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department (2013) in Metro Hospital & Heart Institute, Haridwar and currently she is working as Consultant HOD.
