Dr. Anurag Tandon is a well known Gastroentrologist with clinical experience of more than 35+ years. He graduated (MBBS) from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi and completed his post graduation (M.D.) in Internal Medicine from the same institution. Further Dr. Tandon has done super specialization (D.M.) in Gastroenterology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Adding further dimension to his clinical skills, he received advanced training in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Hong Kong. Dr. Tandon has worked at the Liver Unit at King’s College in London and has received advanced training in the management of chronic liver diseases and liver transplantation. Dr. Anurag Tandon is presently working as Head, Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Metro Centre for Liver Digestive Diseases at the Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute- Multispeciality Wing (Sec-11) Noida. Dr. Tandon has several publications in important scientific journals in the field of liver and digestive diseases. His special areas of interest are Viral Hepatitis, Acute Liver Failure and Portal Hypertension and Management of Chronic Liver Disease.. He has been appreciated and awarded with ‘Young investigator Award’ at the 10th Asian Pacific Congress of Gastroenterology held at Yokohama in Japan. He has presented numerous research papers in several National and International Forums and has been actively involved in various research activities connected to his field of interest. Dr. Tandon is the Chairman of the Digestive Diseases Foundation of India. He has been actively involved in the journal ‘Tropical Gastroenterology’. He has successfully organized several Symposia and Scientific Meetings in the field of liver and digestive diseases. Dr. Tandon has been specially keen and worked actively in the field of Community Gastroenterology. He has organized health camps for promoting Hepatitis B immunization, counseling and information dissemination regarding early detection of liver diseases related to Hepatitis B & C virus infection. He has organized public forum meetings to focus attention on Alcohol and Obesity related Life Style liver problems.
