Dr. Tajinder Sehgal is a highly experienced ophthalmologist with over 30 years of expertise in medical and surgical eye care. He completed his MBBS from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla in 1986, followed by a one-year internship (1985–86). He later earned his Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery (DOMS) from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh (2003–2005).

Throughout his distinguished career with NTPC Ltd. (1995–2021), Dr. Sehgal served in key roles including Chief Medical Officer and Eye Surgeon. He was instrumental in establishing and upgrading ophthalmology departments at NTPC project hospitals such as NTPC Dadri, NTPC Unchahar, and NTPC Jajjhar, setting up dedicated ophthalmology wings equipped with advanced facilities.

Dr. Sehgal is also credited as the first ophthalmologist to introduce e-Pramarsh or online Video consultation services PAN NTPC-wide, improving access to medical support for employees across locations.

Currently, he is associated with Metro Hospital & Heart Institute, RLKC Pandav Nagar, where he continues to provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, advanced surgical interventions, and community eye health services.
