Successful treatment of Sellar Tumor/Pituitary Macroadenoma through Nasal Endoscopy

A 78-year-old male patient had been experiencing drooping of left eyelid and headache and was diagnosed with a Sellar Tumor (Pituitary Macroadenoma). After a thorough pre-anesthetic checkup and fitness evaluation, Dr. Vikram Dua and Dr. Ravi Shankar conducted the surgery by performing a Transnasal, Transsphenoidal Endoscopy with Endoscopic Decompression of Brain Lesion (Sellar Tumor).
Patient’s surgery was a success, post-operatively, he was managed with utmost care in surgical ICU. He has now been discharged from the hospital in a stable condition, with no fresh deficits and a healthy wound.
He is now fully recovered from his neurological deficit (3rd nerve palsy). On follow-up after one month, he was able to see with both the eyes.
