Dr. Ramesh pioneered balloon valvuloplasty in 1985 and performed highest number of procedures including PTMC, more than 6000 by 2003 and published in international journals. She also pioneered non surgical closure of intracardiac defects in 1987 and by using various devices did highest number as reported by any other.

Experience

Dr. Ramesh was Director ‐ Professor and Head of Cardiology Department at MAMC and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. She has been working as Interventional Cardiologist for more than 50 years. She has been teaching postgraduates in cardiology for more than 45 years.
